In preparation for the 2020 season we have made adjustments to our operating procedures to keep Team Members and guests as safe as possible.

WATER QUALITY

  • In order to maintain our flawless record with the Chelan-Douglas Health District, our pool operators follow strict daily guidelines. Water chemistry is maintained through the constant monitoring of all our pools by our automated chemical controllers, and pool operators test the water three times a day to ensure accurate readings are being recorded and the system is operating effectively and efficiently.

  • The CDC has stated, “There is no evidence that COVID-19 can be spread to humans through the use of pools and hot tubs. Proper operation, maintenance and disinfection of pools and hot tub should remove or inactivate the virus that causes COVID-19.”

  • We have committed to increasing our manual testing at all our pools as well as varying the location of each manual test. Maintaining chlorine levels that will “remove or inactivate the virus” will ensure our pools, mats and tubes are safe for Team Members and guests.

#1 Increased emphasis on Personal Responsibility 

  • Team Members and guests are asked to stay home if they have any signs or symptoms of illness. 

  • Team Members and guests are asked to stay home if anyone living in their house has signs or symptoms of coronavirus.

  • Everyone is expected to be respectful of others, especially in regards to personal space and maintaining safe distances from others.

  • Team Members and guests are expected to make smart decisions such as; regularly wash your hands, use hand sanitizer and enjoy the chlorinated pools!  

#2 Additional steps to creating a safe waterpark

  • Admission lines will be organized to maintain safe distances, keep a limited number of people in confined spaces and to move guests through the line as quickly as possible. 

    • Hand sanitizer will be located at the start of the line, at the front of the line and at the purchase window.

  • Admission Team Members will screen all parties entering the park with these 3 questions;

    • Has anyone in your party had a fever or symptoms of COVID-19 including cough, shortness of breath, or sore throat?

    • Has anyone in your party been exposed to someone who tested positive for COVID-19?

    • Is everyone in your party capable of following our personal responsibility guidelines to help keep the park as safe as possible? 

  • Admission Team Members will provide reminders and education to all guests on the importance of frequent hand washing, hand sanitizing and enjoying the chlorinated pools. 

  • All areas in the park will see an increased frequency of cleaning and sanitizing. 

    • Suitable cleaning supplies will be readily available for Team Members to keep touch points as clean as possible. ​

  • Hand sanitizer will be placed in strategic locations for guests to utilize prior to entering or using common spaces or equipment (examples; restroom entrances, lockers, lifeguard stations)

  • Hand washing stations have been added to support the need for increased hand washing.

  • Extensive signage will be placed around the park to remind, guide and educate everyone on the importance of following the suggestions of the CDC.

  • Food & Beverage standards have been adjusted to reduce touch points and possible spread of germs (examples; single use utensil dispensers, removal of soda straws, no hand-held menus)

  • Team Members and guests will be encouraged to maintain the safest possible distance from people outside their party. ​Where possible we will assist will signage and markings.
